In November 2010, The Coffee Club celebrated both 21 years in Australia and 5 years in New Zealand providing Good Food, Great Service and Excellent Coffee.
From a single store, which opened in November 1989 at Brisbane's Eagle Street Pier, to more than 240 outlets throughout Australia, 35 in New Zealand, 6 in Thailand, 1 in New Caledonia and now 1 in China, The Coffee Club has established itself as an iconic household name and preferred venue for millions of coffee drinkers throughout the Asia Pacific region.
The founding directors idea was to create more than just a place where people could meet for coffee; it was to provide a relaxed meeting place that is casual yet sophisticated, stylish yet affordable. The Coffee Club now employs more than 6,000 employees and serves more than 40 million coffees annually in our 280 plus cafes across Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, New Caledonia and China.
The Coffee Club offers two types of dining experiences; a fully-licensed, extended-hour Cafe Bar Restaurant with full table service and an extended menu with Chef’s Choice options; and a Club store, which is typically located in high pedestrian areas and shopping centres and focuses on all-day light meals, breakfasts and snacks with counter service. Both styles of stores of course offer our full range of impossible-to-resist sweets, cakes and desserts and The Coffee Club Signature Blend excellent coffee.
With cooperative efforts to promote more corporate socially responsible policies, The Coffee Club is constantly offering support and funding to local communities and schools and contributing to environmental initiatives. Each year, The Coffee Club donates over $200,000 in charity events and assists in raising around a further $700,000 yearly towards beneficiaries such as Blue September, KidsCan and the Children's Hospital Foundations.
