The first day of October 2015 witnessed a major retail event in New Zealand – the Grand Opening of Auckland’s vast new mall, NorthWest Shopping Centre. The $160 million mall boasts 100 shops and its internal floor space is equivalent to the size of four rugby fields. Amongst the buzz of the Grand Opening, Thursday 1st October also saw The Coffee Club Café Bar Restaurant NorthWest open its doors at NorthWest Shopping Centre’s main entrance on Maki Street.
As the area’s first late night restaurant store within The Coffee Club group and with abundant outdoor seating, it’s open for dinner until 9pm every night and is the popular café franchise’s 56th store in New Zealand.
The striking store design features a stunning image spanning the whole length of an interior wall of Piha’s iconic Lion Rock on the Auckland region’s rugged west coast.
Nearly half a million Aucklanders live within a 15-minute drive of the new shopping centre and The Coffee Club NorthWest is owner Ken Zhang’s fifth store with The Coffee Club group. After enjoying success with The Coffee Club cafes in Onehunga, St Lukes Shopping Centre, Pukekohe and Milford, he believes his newest store is a perfect fit for the exciting new mall. “The Coffee Club NorthWest will be ideal for locals meeting friends and family, or just wanting to enjoy a good coffee and bite to eat. It will also be great for shoppers visiting from outside the area,” explains Ken. “The Coffee Club continues to be successful in NZ. Kiwis love the brand and the fact that they can rely on the quality and value of the food and coffee,” Ken reflects.
The Coffee Club NorthWest offers an extended menu and full table service. Like other stores in The Coffee Club group, it also has a breakfast, brunch and lunch menu that can be ordered from at any time of the day. The new Café Bar Restaurant is open daily from 8am until 9pm.
